In November, we shared with you the beginnings of a new home we’re building in West Des Moines. Mr. and Mrs. Roger decided to relocate from Fort Dodge to be closer to their children and grandchildren and with the move, wanted to create a special space to build memories. Working in collaboration with their specific visions and our designers, we created a beautiful balance of design and functionality.
Iowa natives Mr. and Mrs. Rogers knew it was time to move closer to their children and grandchildren, so they decided to plant themselves in a cozy West Des Moines neighborhood,close to entertainment, shopping, and restaurants—they can’t wait for this new adventure. Their universally-designed custom home was the perfect project for J. Thompson Builders.
Building a home exactly how you want it can be a daunting, yet exciting task. It’s still a work in progress but this universally designed open floor plan, which allows for wheelchair access throughout, includes a zero-threshold entry and an elevator. We aren’t sacrificing beauty for function. When finished beautiful hardwood floors on the main level will also ensure accessibility is never an issue while still looking sleek and upscale.
